2024 Summer Reading Challenge!
It’s hard to believe school is almost over! We are getting ready to kick off a Summer Reading Challenge at LearningRx to help promote literacy and continued learning over the summer.
June 1st - August 3rd
Join us Saturday, June 1 from 1-3 p.m. for our kick-off party!
Shop for a new book from Paper Pie and enjoy ice cream. You’ll earn two free squares on your Bingo board and be entered to win a prize basket full of goodies to help you get ready for the summer!
We’re excited to announce our annual Summer Reading Challenge for students of all ages!
Why a Summer Reading Challenge?
This is a great way to get your student off a screen and into a book!
This keeps literary concepts fresh in the minds of students so that when they make it back to school in the fall they are prepared for anything thrown their way.
This can increase your knowledge and vocabulary by 50%.
Reading physical books can boost your mood! Studies show that people who read for fun are more likely to feel happy and confident.
Reading physical books can lower your stress by 68% and lengthen your life by two years. So help develop the habit now!
A few Details you’ll want to Know
When: June 1 - August 3, 2024. Our reading Challenge lasts the entire summer, encouraging your students to read all summer long!
What: Summer Reading Challenge for students of all ages.
Where: Students can read anywhere and visit LearningRx to redeem their prizes!
Why: To promote reading and literacy in our community! We want our kids to get off the screens this summer and enjoy some wonderful books!
How to Win:
Download Your Bingo Board Here! and grab a book!
Write the title of each book, story, or article in the box as you complete the challenge. Chapter books may be used for more than one square.
Complete rows vertically, horizontally, or diagonally to win a prize from a local business.
Prizes can be claimed once per week. Prizes are first come, first serve. Complete the entire board to enter to win one of our grand prizes (drawn at the end of July).
To claim your prize, text us at (502) 423-3713 to set up a time to stop by the center with your completed Bing Board. We’re located at 9407 Westport Rd., Suite 105.
What you Win!
Prizes include tickets to Louisville Bats games, Louisville Zoo passes, Main Event, Kids’ Meals from Raising Canes, prizes from Golden Keep Game Co., Learning Express Toys, and more!
Complete your whole board and be entered to win the grand prize, Kentucky Kingdom tickets! We will draw the Grand Prize Winner at the end of July.
