One-on-One Tutoring, Group Sessions, & ACT/SAT Test Prep

Eliminating homework and school-related fights one day at a time!

We partner with busy parents to stop homework and study-related conflicts by empowering kids and young adults to grow to love learning. If you’re fighting with your child over schoolwork or studying, it’s time to call in the reinforcements (that’s us!)

How We Can Help

  • Learning coach working one-on-one with a student in a tutoring session.

    One-on-One Tutoring (In-person or Online)

Available in-person or online, students receive one-on-one support in a specific subject. We partner with you, your student’s teacher (upon request), and your student to help them learn the material they need to know for school. Students have access to study materials to help them hone specific skills.

Additionally, they’ll learn how to study, and how to use time management skills to support them on their learning journeys.

One-on-one tutoring is perfect for students who need extra help in specific classes.

  • Learning coach providing group homework help to two students during Homework Club.

    Group Sessions

Known as “Homework Club”, we designed this after-school program to help students get homework done. We want families to be able to spend more time together in the evening (without fighting homework battles!)

In our small Group Sessions, students complete daily homework and projects, study for quizzes/tests, and work on mastering class material.

Group Sessions are best for students who need some guided instruction but not intense tutoring.

These students need a little extra help to master material, learn study skills, and get homework done.

  • Student studying for the ACT/SAT test.

    College Prep - ACT/SAT Tests

From test prep to the college application process, we are here for your teenage student. In our ACT/SAT test prep program, we provide customized, one-on-one instruction to improve their confidence AND test scores.

Your student will become familiar with content, structure, question types, time management, and test-taking strategies. We also provide advice and offer guidance on how to apply for colleges.

Our College-Prep sessions are designed for students in their Junior or Senior year of high school about to take their college entrance exams.

We Create Confident Students

We’re parents too. We understand the struggle (and frustration) of getting your child to complete their homework or study for a test. We created Grace Place to help students find grace and confidence when it comes to learning.

Your student’s confidence and success are important to us. When a student feels confident and successful, they can learn better. Our learning coaches (also known as tutors) make time to build relationships with students AND their families. This partnership leads to better outcomes.

Kids need adults (other than their parents) to cheer them on and develop them. We’re happy to take on this role!

We want to not only support students, but parents too. You don’t have to do this alone. It’s not about raising kids who get straight As - it’s about raising kids who are able to problem-solve and learn the skills they need to become life-long learners.

What Our Students (and Parents) Are Saying…

  • “Grace Place has eliminated so many homework-related fights in our house! Two days a week my daughter gets to go learn with her friend, be supported by other adults that care about her, AND get her homework done for the evening. They help her study for tests, work on her math facts, and teach her study habits. Grace Place has been a huge blessing for us!”

  • “I do Homework Club. It's really fun because you don't just go into a room and do it by yourself. You actually have help. I wasn't very good in math before, but I am getting better in math now. And if you're good, you can earn points for prizes like Squishmellows, candy, and other toys.”

  • “I learn a lot in Homework Club. I have trouble with math sometimes and they help me with that. I feel like I am getting better at it. They encourage me. When I have a test they help me study. I get most of the questions on the test right. We also work on my times tables and that helps me a lot.”
